Hi, I’m Lisa Byrne.
I help depleted moms find their sanity, calm and spark again.

I believe that in order to be a happy and energized mother you must begin by being a healthy and self-connected woman.
The only way to be a bright shining light in the world — to your children, your spouse or anyone else — is when you are, at the core, well and cared-for.
Motherhood changes everything.
Most moms (myself included) were completely unprepared for the intensity and demands of raising children. And staying healthy while navigating the path of motherhood takes specific skills, tools and strategies.
Except, when was the last time you were taught how to keep your well being intact amidst the rush and noise of modern life? And even more, do you know of women in your life that model the kind of deep reserves, inner calm, and core resiliency that are required to be fully active in the world without drowning in it?
That is what WellGrounded Life offers. Authentic, smart and down-to-earth programs that allow you to invest in yourself and your own “life” education so you can fully live the life you love.
My way is different.
What you will find through my courses and workshops is a gentle, grace-filled approach to taking excellent care of yourself.
Here’s the little secret that changed my life. Information is useless unless it is making a difference in your life. You can have all sorts of money in the bank, but without your bankcard it isn’t going to help you out when your gas tank is on empty and you need cash fast.
When I became a mother, I had racked up years of nutrition, health and wellness information. Here I was, a bright woman who had an undergrad in Biochemistry, a graduate degree in Public Health and certifications in Integrative Nutrition falling apart at the seams with two young children and a life that was spinning out of control with stress and depression and overwhelm.
What mothers need are the skills to apply streamlined, smart and effective information while living a busy, others-focused life.
And it was only when I began to radically shift how I went about caring for myself as a mother that information began sparking major change. That is when WellGrounded Life began, when I knew with every fiber of my being that I needed to reach out and connect the dots for other moms who were just a side step away from being back on a smooth path again.
I believe in getting to the root causes of why we experience so much exhaustion, stress and frazzled thinking, so that we can heal and nourish what is imbalanced and allow true vitality to take hold in our life.
I firmly believe we are created for health. The wisest thing we can do is to understand exactly how we are made and work with our nature so our health begins to flow rapidly and with ease.

What worked for me has worked for thousands of other moms as well.
When I found the simple, powerful steps which transformed my health and vibrancy back from a depleted, tapped out place, I became passionate about supporting other moms through the journey back to restored vibrant health as well.
I walk my talk every day. Even on the days I feel far off center, I call on the principles I teach so that I can return to caring for myself the way I know I most need to be cared for. I now have the tools and skills to get back on track which is a tremendous gift because it is an absolute guarantee that we will get “off track” — it’s called life. But to know how to return to center swiftly and with ease is powerful.

I have three wonderful and feisty children. My husband and I live in New Jersey with our kids and our 110 pound yellow lab.
My background is full of science. Undergrad degree from Cal Poly State University in Biochemistry with a minor in Nutrition and Metabolism.
Masters in Public Health from Boston University.
Certified Holistic Health Counselor through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and Columbia University.
True, I love being a student … but, what really lit my flame was
- Volunteering in Kenya, Tanzania and Guatemala, doing work in the area of health and nutrition with communities of women and farmers and understanding that joy is an inside job and women who come together for a common goal have the strength of a modern army and indeed are changing the world all the time.
- Leading qualitative research studies to understand how homeless people with addictions needed a home before they could successfully get clean (a completely novel concept to our government).
- Teaching chemistry to high school students and getting to share with them more about life than the inner energy orbits of a molecule.
- Birthing my first child and knowing that I was irrevocably changed from that moment on.
What I find most fascinating is applying modern science to age-old traditional wisdom to better understand our bodies and what we need to keep us healthy, well and whole. And then making rich connections with women and mothers to support them in taking practical, transformative action so they can step more fully into living a life that they truly love.
I’m doing the work I love and that has tremendous meaning and value to me. I pinch myself daily.
