The Weekly Beet: Refresh Edition

July 11, 2010 · 1 comment

Hello!  Welcome to this week’s weekly beet.  I named it my refresh edition because I am feeling the deep benefits of giving myself time, space and attention to do what fills and renews me in order to give back the best I have to offer.

This week I’ll be spending a lot of time focusing on my two upcoming courses, the Stress Cure course and the 12 week course in September*.  It’s a gift my husband is giving me in order to allow extra time to develop the courses which are really extensions of my heart, I care so much about this work!

So I started off my week with a full day of talking, laughing, window shopping, good eating, tea sipping, massage, book reading in coffee shops, dream sharing– dear girlfriend time with my neighbor.  Ladies, it is SO GOOD and so deeply restorative to connect with each other, to share, to laugh, to connect, to feel heard and cared for and supported.

Is there a way to carve out a little time for that in your life…maybe in the upcoming week? Call in with a good friend, catch a movie, share a glass of wine, chat uninterrupted on the phone, send a handwritten note… whatever it looks like for you.  We need each other.

A gentle reminder that registration for the no-cost 4 week Stress Cure course will be closing this Friday (July 16) at midnight.  If you haven’t registered, read more details here.

And if you have registered, are there other moms you know who might benefit? I’d so appreciate it if you passed the information on to them!

* Speaking of the 12 week course coming up soon…would you like to help me NAME the course? I’ve been wavering on choosing the name and would love to get your opinion.

Click here to vote for one of my name ideas or to offer one of your own!  I’ll share the results with everyone in a bit.

I’m planning on taking a day for myself this Friday. I was going to go it alone, but having lunch and a pedicure with a friend sounds good. It’s been a while since I have had a day alone. Can’t wait to recharge!!
